In reference to the AP oblique with 45 degree medial rotation, what error is present?
 
 the centering is not directed to the correct location
  the foot was not properly medially rotated
  collimation fails to include essential anatomy
  the foot was not dorsiflexed

 dorsiflexed and the plantar surface is parallel to the image receptor

Answer to Question 1

collimation fails to include essential anatomy

Rationale: The ankle is properly positioned and centered, but the collimation fails to show the base of the 5th metatarsal. The base of the 5th metatarsal is a common fracture site and should be included even on ankle imaging.

Answer to Question 2

dorsiflexed and the plantar surface is perpendicular to the image receptor

Rationale: Degree of dorsiflexion should ideally place the plantar surface of the foot perpendicular to the image receptor.
