5-7 degrees cephalic

Rationale: All mediolateral knee projections require the central ray to be angled 5-7 degrees cephalic. The cephalic tube angle will help to superimpose the medial femoral condyle onto the lateral femoral condyle.

SMV

Rationale: The basilar view of the skull or the SMV will ideally be able to demonstrate the small foramina in the base of the skull if the technical settings are adequate.
