Answer to Question 1

The ionization chamber(s) are only selected if covered entirely by the patient's part

Rationale: AEC can only be utilized when imaging the patient with image receptors positioned in the Bucky. Selection of which ionization chamber depends on the size of the part and how well it covers the cell. Different combinations of the ionization chambers can be selected.

Answer to Question 2

CR system has aged and the laser is unable to extract the latent image entirely

Rationale: A phantom image can occur with CR imaging if the laser in the processor is not strong enough to erase the latent image from a previous exam. This is a sign of CR system aging.

People who have myopia, or nearsightedness, are not able to see objects at a distance but only up close. It occurs when the cornea is either curved too steeply, the eye is too long, or both. This condition is progressive and worsens with time. More than 100 million people in the United States are nearsighted, but only 20% of those are born with the condition. Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.

However, without proper precautions, an individual may contract the disease repeatedly. In fact, most people develop trichomoniasis again within three months of their last treatment.
