The Flynn effect is the slow but steady increase in performance on intelligence tests and similar measures across the industrialized world. Possible explanations for this effect include the following (the response should include at least three):
 Better nutrition, leading to more optimal conditions for brain development
 Better home environments (e.g., more toys, puzzles, books, etc.)
 Smaller family sizes, leading to more one-on-one time between parents and children and more resources per child
 Higher education levels for parents
 Better schooling for children
 More access to information sources (television, reading materials, computers, etc.)
