Answer to Question 1

ANS: B
A bilateral mammoplasty usually is performed for aesthetics on a woman who desires larger breasts. Inflatable implants are inserted under breast tissue or the underlying pectoralis muscles and then filled with sterile saline solution through self-sealing valves. The breast implant can be inserted through a periareolar, transaxillary, inframammary, or supraumbilical endoscopic approach.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: C
Contraindications to replantation include severe bruising or crushing injury, prolonged warm ischemia, multiple fractures or injury at different levels in the same digit, or associated injuries that preclude the effort. Restoration is much more difficult in crush injuries than in sharp, clean amputations. Replantation is more successful in young patients than in older patients. Also, incomplete amputations are more successful because they have intact subcutaneous venous circulation in the skin bridges.
