Answer to Question 1

ANS: D
Oliguria, the diminished capacity to form urine, occurs because the hormones secreted during the procedure (antidiuretic hormone, aldosterone, epinephrine, and norepinephrine) conserve water and sodium. This decreases urinary output. Also, dehydration, shock, cardiac failure, and third-space loss contribute to oliguria.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: C
A cystometrogram measures voiding pressure within the bladder to determine muscle tone and nerve supply. A calibrated recording tidal irrigator cystometer is used for this measurement.
