Answer to Question 1

ANS: T
Since the x-ray tube is not considered sterile, the sterile field must be covered when the tube is passed over it. Once the x-ray tube has passed above the sheet covering the field, this sheet must be discarded by a nonsterile member.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: T
During any draping procedure, the circulator should stand by to direct the scrub person and watch for breaks in technique.
