There are many types of OR beds that are based on weight and patient positioning. Some beds have removable parts, radiopaque tops, controls for manipulation and are procedure specific. Specialty OR beds can accommodate 350 to 1000 lbs.

Surgical towels are traditionally used as draping material and are not routinely considered counted items. However, if one is placed in the surgical incision, it becomes an item that must be accounted for and listed in the same way that counted items are tracked.
