Answer to Question 1

(a) do not allow reptiles to wander freely
(b) always wear disposable gloves when cleaning reptile habitats
(c) do not place feeding dishes in the family dishwasher
(d) do not throw soiled bedding out to be used as garden mulch
(e) have dedicated soaking tubs for reptiles.

UV light is necessary for the absorption of Vitamin D.
