Normal ear exudate is brown and granular. To determine if there are ear mites, a sample of the exudate should be examined with an oil immersion slide under a microscope.

Answer to Question 2

Jills are induced ovulators and will remain in heat until bred. This will cause estrogen toxicity, leading to bone marrow suppression and anemia.
