 They are gentle and rarely bite.
 They recognize their owners and respond vocally.
 They are clean and have very little or no odor (if the cage is cleaned).
 Housing requirements are minimal.
 They are relatively easy to feed (pelleted foods and some leafy greens).
 They are easy to handle.
