Answer to Question 1

The design may describe a natural experiment, pre-post design, or time-series design. Justification should include an awareness of why an alternative experimental design may be better suited to developmental research than a true experiment.

Answer to Question 2

The experimental design should include random sampling, an experimental treatment or control group, and manipulated variables. The response may include a diagram. Justification should include an awareness of cause and effect in experimental design.
