Use of medications or treatments in the past helps the veterinarian decide which diagnostic
test to run, helps with assessing the patient's prognosis, and helps the veterinarian decide
what treatment plan to use now.

When taking a dairy history, we focus on milk production and quality. When taking a beef
history, we focus on health of the calves and feedlot animals.
