Answer to Question 1

A
Reactive depression, or adjustment disorder with depressed mood, is probably the most common form of mood problems in children. Depressed feelings are short-lived in children suffering from reactive depression and usually occur in response to some adverse experience, such as rejection, a slight, a letdown, or a loss. Mood tends to improve with a change in activity or an interesting or pleasant event.

Answer to Question 2

B
Support groups have proven to be highly effective when treating the survivors of a community crisis. Through groups, the community members can share experiences and learn from each other possible strategies for dealing with the crisis. Support groups assist individual members that they are not alone in their experience, a concept known as universality.
