Answer to Question 1

A
The NAMI report (based on an earlier survey) did not identify lack of desire to work as one of the barriers for people who are recovering from mental illness to becoming gainfully employed. NAMI recognized that in reality, most individuals recovering from mental illness want to work and that employment is an important part of their recovery. NAMI is currently lobbying for supported employment for those with serious mental illness.

Answer to Question 2

B
The MTA study demonstrated some benefit for psychosocial and behavioral treatments for ADHD. Such treatments appear to work best in conjunction with drug therapy.
