After such an event, clients may find that they are no longer able to continue with their previous lifestyle (e.g., diet, physical activity) and have to develop new behaviors and practices to adjust. Furthermore, being confronted with their own mortality may completely change how they view what is possible or likely for their future. The clients may find themselves overwhelmed and unable to cope with such changes.
