The first week of memory storage is a function of the limbic system. After the first few weeks, memories are lost or transferred back into the cortex for long-term storage.

Answer to Question 2

B
A counseling program that promotes potential abusers recognizing their tendency to be abusing and seeking help would be considered secondary prevention. Secondary prevention involves early detection and treatment for interpersonal violence. Identifying the individuals as potential abusers serves as early detection. The treatment would be the counseling sessions.
