Answer to Question 1

C
In addition to disturbances in cognition, the most common symptom of depression in the elderly is sleep difficulties. Nursing interventions should be directed at teaching the elderly client to sustain from eating large meals before going to bed. A light snack or warm milk has been requested. Also, the elderly should be taught to reduce consuming large amount of liquids at bedtime. Increased fluid intake may cause disturbed sleep due to the need to urinate during the night. Diarrhea, increased appetite, and anger are not among the most common symptoms of depression in the elderly.

Answer to Question 2

D
Parents need to be aware of the difference between physical hunger and psychological hunger since doing so will assist the parents in modeling healthy eating behaviors and minimizing the potential for maladaptive eating behaviors in their children.
