Answer to Question 1

ANS: D
Admission to the hospital would be justified by the risk of client danger to self or others. The other
clients have issues that can be handled without hospitalization.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: D
A high level of valuing is acting on one's belief. Autonomy is supported when the nurse helps a
client weigh alternatives and their consequences before the client makes a decision. Autonomy or
self-determination is not the issue in any of the other behaviors.
