Answer to Question 1

B
Disorganized schizophrenia represents the most regressed and socially impaired of all the
schizophrenias. Client B could logically be expected to have the lowest global assessment of
functioning. In addition, the client has been ill for a number of years. Option A: Client A could be
expected to have the highest score because paranoid schizophrenia of short duration may be less
impairing than other types. Option C: Client C has been stable more than 3 years, suggesting higher
functional ability. Option D: Client D has been ill only 2 years, and disability in undifferentiated
schizophrenia remains fairly stable over time.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: D
The outcome describes social involvement on the part of the client. Neither cooperation nor
independence has been an issue. The client has already expressed a desire to interact with others.
