Answer to Question 1

A
The need to control at the expense of flexibility and openness, along with patterns of preoccupation
with orderliness and perfectionism, is consistent with obsessive-compulsive personality disorder.
Option B: Narcissistic personality disorder involves grandiosity, the need for admiration, and lack of
empathy. Option C: Histrionic personality disorder involves excessive emotionality and attention
seeking. Option D: Schizoid personality disorder involves detachment from social relationships and
a restricted range of expression in interpersonal settings.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A
Laws regarding child abuse reporting discovered by a professional during the suspected abuser's
alcohol or drug treatment differ by state. Federal law supercedes state law and prohibits disclosure
without a court order except in instances in which the report can be made anonymously or without
identifying the abuser as a client in an alcohol or drug treatment facility. Option A meets federal
criteria. Option B does not accomplish reporting. Options C and D violate federal law.
