Answer to Question 1

Ans: B
Feedback:
The second phase of the rape trauma syndrome is the long-term process of reorganization. In this phase, clients work toward integration and resolution of the experience. Healthy integration and resolution involve regaining empowerment and reconnecting with others. Most survivors benefit substantially from professional help during this phase. In therapy, they can learn ways to feel safe again and to manage disturbing symptoms. Furthermore, they can remember and work through associated feelings. Gradually, survivors begin to reassert control and gain a new sense of relative safetya new worldview.

Answer to Question 2

Ans: A
Feedback:
Rape trauma syndrome is a two-phase process experienced by all rape survivors. The first phase, which may last days or weeks, is the acute phase of disorganization. The second phase of the rape trauma syndrome is the long-term process of reorganization.
