Answer to Question 1

Ans: A
Feedback:
Clients should be instructed to consult an ophthalmologist prior to commencing treatment and not to look directly into the light. Treatment continues throughout the winter months, because symptoms are likely to return if light exposure stops. The person exposes his or her eyes to bright artificial light for approximately 2 hours per day. Several phototherapy devices are on the market, but the fluorescent light box with a filter to screen out ultraviolet rays is the gold standard.

Answer to Question 2

Ans: A
Feedback:
Bilateral (both temples) placement of electrodes has happened in the past and sometimes is used now; however, such placement leads to increased adverse effects, such as memory loss.
