Answer to Question 1

ANS: 2
The most efficient way to get the needed information for tomorrow's visit would be talking with a nurse who has transcultural expertise. The other options could be useful over the longer term but are not appropriate for immediate assistance.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: 2
This provides the nurse with the opportunity to interact with the client and guest and to assess the client in a different role. The nurse can also provide support to the client and family. Option 1 places distance between the nurse and client and focuses on the nurse's need to do everything right. Options 3 and 4 place the nurse's needs above the client's and fail to acknowledge the cli-ent's feelings. They miss the opportunity to assess the client in a different social setting.
