  3. Is more likely if the client has approval from the church
  4. Is made with the batterer's permission

  4. Have suspicions that the abuse has occurred

Answer to Question 1

ANS: 2
The victim usually moves slowly when making the decision to leave the batterer because of many self-imposed constraints and many environmental factors that must be considered. 1. This bears no relationship to the decision to leave in most cases. 3. There is no evidence to support this, alt-hough for some, it may be a factor. 4. It is unlikely that a batterer will give permission for the victim to leave.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: 4
Suspicions are all that are required by state mandatory child abuse and neglect reporting laws. The agency bears the burden of collecting evidence. 1. As a mandated reporter, the nurse does not need anyone's permission to make the report. 2. Only a suspicion is required. 3. Parent noti-fication is unnecessary.
