Answer to Question 1

ANS: 4
An interview room would provide privacy and safety. Such a room would not contain items that could be thrown or used to strike the interviewer and would, in most agencies, have an alarm system that could be used in the event the client lost control. Options 1 and 2 do not provide privacy. Option 3 would be inappropriate because the client would have to sit or lie on the gurney and because the medical equipment in the cubicle could be used to harm the interviewer.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: 4
The most recent problem is the focus of crisis intervention. The client had maintained equilibrium until the straw that broke the camel's back was added. Thus that is the problem to address during crisis intervention. Options 1, 2, and 3 are older problems with which the client had coped.
