Answer to Question 1

ANS: 3
The most accepted theory is that an abnormality in the functioning and structure of the brain causes autism; therefore option 3 is correct. The research is not conclusive to support the causes stated in options 1, 2 or 4.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: 2
Option 1 is a strategy within cognitive therapy. Family therapy and play therapy are not neces-sarily used with a behavior modification program. Behavior modification includes systematically listing goals, often in a chart, and rewarding the child for accomplishing each goal.

The dogs detected 54 of the 55 lung cancer patients as having cancer, detected 28 of the 31 breast cancer patients, and gave only three false-positive results (detecting cancer in people who didn't have it).
