A 19-year-old-client displays obsessive-compulsive behaviors when admitted to the unit. He washes the surfaces in his room over and over. The nurse, needing to orient the client to the unit, should do which of the following?
 
  1. Firmly take him by the arm to show him around.
  2. State, The room is very clean, so you can stop now.
  3. Ignore the orientation for 4 or 5 days.
