In this case, the transference is negative and might be related to an earlier experience with an authority figure. Although projection is a possibility, it is less obvious. Dissociation and emotional catharsis do not apply.

Antipsychotic drugs accumulate in fatty tissue and are released slowly. This explains why symptoms might still be controlled for several days after discontinuing the drug.
