Answer to Question 1

a. Choose icons carefully. Some symbols may be considered offensive in other cultures, so avoid using animals, body parts, or human characters whenever possible.
b. Use images carefully. Images can convey unintended messages, so check withsomeone from the target culture to make sure you avoid any possible problem.

Answer to Question 2

Partitioning the subject means dividing a description into three areas: features, which include the parts and aspects of an item; functions, which describe what an item does, and stages of a process, which describe a process chronologically by how it is assembled or how it works.
