  • To be a bit tautological, the general rule is that prose is used to express the more prosaic elements of the playfor instance, a good deal of the dialogue between Iago and Roderigo. But there are many such shifts within individual scenes, and you should focus your students attention on grounding their responses in the precise particulars of the passage that they choose.
