The sign of the correlation (+/) is generally meaningless for the point-biserial correlation and the phi-coefficient.
 
  Indicate whether the statement is true or false

Question 2

A sample of n = 9 scores is randomly selected from a population with  = 80 and s = 9. If the sample mean is M = 83, then the corresponding z-score is z = +3.00.
