A repeated-measures study uses a sample of n = 8 participants to evaluate the mean differences between two treatment conditions. The analysis of variance for this study will have dferror = 7.

A population with  = 59 and s = 8 is standardized to create a new distribution with  = 100 and s = 20. After the transformation, an individual receives a new score of X = 90. The original score for this individual was X = 51.
