Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

When a plant is repotted or otherwise transplanted, the height the plant is placed is important. For
example, when offshoot bromeliads are potted, they should be placed a bit high in their new media.
They are accustomed to well-drained soils and, if placed too low, will be susceptible to rot. Most
indoor plants are at their best when they are transplanted at the same height at which they were
previously grown, level with the soil line. Keep the soil line about an inch or two below the rim of the
grow pot to create a water reservoir. The water will percolate downward instead of running off the
surface of the soil and off the rim of the container.
