Answer to Question 1

Body temperatures fluctuate due to environmental temperatures and activities at the time. This prevents over heating, and maintains core body temperature in extreme cold or hot weather.

Answer to Question 2

A soft rope is placed around the abdomen in front of the pelvis. Place the rope across the back and grasp both ends of the rope. With a pull on both ends of the rope, the alpaca's legs buckle or fold and the alpaca kneels down in a sternal position.
