Answer to Question 1

They have marsupial bones (os marsupalia) that form part of the pelvic attachment to the abdominal muscles. STOs have skin around each nipple that forms a cushion or donut around each young to secure the attachment. Embryos are delivered in an undeveloped state to further develop outside the uterus.
