Fur slip is usually caused by rough handling or in an attempt to capture a chinchilla. It is the release of fur in an attempt to escape.

Answer to Question 2

Guinea pigs drink with mouthfuls of food, often pushing chewed food into the sipper tube which blocks water flow.
