1 . Cleaning all equipment of debris before moving from one field to another
2 . Crop rotation
3 . The use of mulch (in particular, black plastic mulch)

The disadvantages of mechanical weed control include:

1 . The roots of the crop may suffer damage.
2 . Mechanical weed control is expensive.
3 . The stirring of the soil can lead to erosion problems.
4 . When the soil is stirred, moisture loss occurs.
