Mylar balloons do not stretch and are made from a thin metallic film. They are available in many shapes and sizes. Mylar balloons are nontoxic and retain helium. Latex balloons are made from latex and they stretch. Latex balloons do not hold helium or compressed air as well as mylar balloons.
