Answer to Question 1

Two sides are the same length and the third side is shorter.

Answer to Question 2

Cartilage is a component of the skeletal system that is made up of firm tissue that is not as hard as bone and is partially flexible. As bones grow, the cartilage portions of the bone harden into bone and the bone is increased in length. As an animal matures, cartilage in parts of the skeleton continues to turn to bone.
