Consumers are cautious of food poisoning from the E. coli bacteria commonly found in hamburger. They also are concerned with what goes into their food during processing. Consumers do not like a lot of chemicals in processing, but they fail to understand that most are necessary. Consumers are also concerned that the medication fed to agricultural animals will pass to them if they eat the meat.
