Answer to Question 1

Desert plants such as cacti and succulents are tough plants for tough climates, which may be somewhat
similar to conditions in domestic or commercial environments. Indoor settings with very high light
intensities as well as pockets of heat with associated low humidity create the perfect setting for desert
plants.

Answer to Question 2

The indoor comfort zone refers to an optimal indoor temperature. Overall, people like indoor
temperatures to be maintained between 60o-80oF. This is quite similar to the temperature range found
in tropical forests. Indoor plants are tolerable to all of these temperature conditions just as long as air
vents are not directed on them. In other words, indoor plants like the same temperatures as people.
