Washed sand is sand that has been flushed to remove clay and silt.

particles, (2) the proportion of the stone particles by size, (3) the type of Portland cement, (4) the
purity of the water, (5) the uniformity of the mixture, and (6) the procedures used in placing, finishing,
and curing the concrete.
