The advantages of concrete are that it is fireproof, insect and rodent proof, decay resistant, highly
storm resistant, wear resistant, waterproof, strong, attractive, easy to make on the job without
expensive equipment, and available locally.



Answer to Question 2

The hardness, durability, and moisture-resistant characteristics of the masonry units and mortar will
determine the characteristics of the masonry structure.
