Most fluid filters are made of special paper folded into pleats that encircle the core. The fluid enters
the outside chamber, passes through the paper filter, and leaves the filter through a center tube.

Hydraulic systems must have the following: (1) reservoir, (2) pump, (3) control valve(s), (4) check
valve, (5) filter(s), (6) lines, and (7) cylinder(s).
