Answer to Question 1

A production contract is between a grower and a contractor. A marketing contract is between a contractor/owner and a packer.

Answer to Question 2

The choice of the type of system employed will depend on:

1 . The phase of production on the farm
2 . Production and management practices
3 . Water/energy use
4 . Climate
5 . Land availability
6 . Value of the waste for the cropping operation
