Grades indicate freshness, potential flavor, texture, and uniformity in size and weight, depending on
the commodity.



Answer to Question 2

The food industry is involved in the production, processing, storage, preparation, and distribution of
food for consumption by living things. Pet and animal food, as well as human food, requires a chain of
people, places, equipment, regulations, and resources to change farm products into edible foods.
