beauty and in providing oxygen to humans and animals.Trees and shrubs also cut noise pollution by
acting as barriers to sound. They can provide shade and act as insulators to keep the house cooler in
the summer and warmer in the winter. Many urban areas depend on trees and shrubs to soften the
concrete, blacktop, and steel environment.
