Answer to Question 1

Turfgrasses can be established by seeding, sodding, stolonization, sprigging, and plugging.

Answer to Question 2

Playability level means suitability for the intended use. It is determined by the type of sporting or
recreational event. For example, putting greens are areas used for playing golf, and the turfgrass is
very short. These areas are maintained to provide a surface for consistent, yet adequate, putting speeds.
A football field may be managed to offer secure footing and sufficient turfgrass resiliency for player
safety.
