Answer to Question 1

Haylage is a low-moisture silage.

Answer to Question 2

Planting forages with no-till planters requires fewer trips across the field with heavy tractors and
tillage equipment. This is advantageous because there is less compaction of the soil and there is little
exposure of the seedbed to erosion.
